AYSO United Hawaii Tryout Information

Although AYSO United Hawaii holds tryouts in June of each year, a player can tryout at any time by contacting the coach and attending a team practice. Players who are registered with another HYSA club/team for the current soccer year will need to obtain written (or e-mail) approval from their current coach before contacting AYSO United Hawaii.

AYSO United Hawaii is a program that builds on the foundations of all our AYSO Programs ensuring that the players selected are in the appropriate environment to enhance their skill level and competence in the game of soccer. It is an opportunity for your child to work with high level coaches and compete against other youth club organizations in the US Club Soccer league.

AYSO United Hawaii invites all interested players to OPEN TRYOUTS to participate on a teams practicing across the island.

•If your child is interested, please PREPARE, PRINT AND BRING a Player Registration Form from:

•Select the OAHU 2020-2021 or Hawaii Island 2020-2021 Seasons.

•No Player with a fever should attend training/tryouts.  Please take the Player's temperature before leaving your home. If the Player is showing any symptoms whatsoever, please stay home.

•Parents and family members shall remain in their vehicle for the session duration. Every player must have their own hand sanitizer or wipes.

•Players should place their bags and water spaced 10ft apart at the field.

•Players will be directed to their grid and will use their own ball. No shared equipment.  Players and coaches should be spaced 10ft apart.

•No hand contact (i.e., handshakes or high fives).  Avoid touching your face.  Cover your mouth when coughing or sneezing.   No spitting on the field or side-lines.  Do not share water bottles, drinks or food.

•Coaches will lead training/tryouts whilst maintaining distance at all times.

•At the conclusion of the session, players will collect their equipment and go straight to their vehicle. No group gathering or coach meeting.  At the end of the session, we recommend that the player uses hand sanitizer or wipes before entering their vehicle.

•If accepted into the program, the family will receive an email from Sports Connect congratulating the player on being accepted to the team and providing a link to click to complete the AYSO registration and pay the AYSO fees.  If the player does not intend to play with the team, please use the link to decline the position so that another player may be offered a position on the team.

•The start up fees for Membership Year 2020 will include two seasons:  Fall-non-competitive and either Winter/Spring-competitive.  We ask that all players commit to playing both seasons when they are offered a position on a team.  Exceptions can be made, but the Club's policy would be to give preference to a player that can commit to both seasons.

There is no charge to Tryout.
